Usage of the new EDS file (ex500-gdn1_88_v15.eds) 1. This new EDS file is to be used for the gateway unit (EX500-GDN1) of the device revision 1.003 with the identification mark G on the label. 2. If the new EDS file is used for gateway units older than the device revision 1.003, some configuration software of some manufacturers may give a warning message as they do not have the parameter functions. In this case, use the old EDS file. Some configuration software may not be able to distinguish the new EDS file from the old EDS file. Usage of the old EDS file (ex500.eds) 1. This old EDS file is to be used for the gateway unit (EX500-GDN1) of the device revision 1.001 which does not have the identification mark G on the label. (There is no product with the device revision 1.002.) 2. If this old EDS file is to be used for the gateway unit of the device revision 1.003 with the identification mark G on the label, the newly added parameter functions can not be set. The following thirteen are the newly added parameter functions. -"IN BRANCH" : Indicates which communication port is used for input. (COM_A/B/C/D) -"OUT BRANCH" : Indicates which communication port is used for output. (COM_A/B/C/D) -"I/O MODE" : Indicates the no. of input/output points per 1 communication port. -"SOLV" : Indicates the voltage status of the power supply for the valve. -"SOLV(F)" : Indicates the power supply status to the valve. -"DIAG IN(A)","DIAG IN(B)","DIAG IN(C)","DIAG IN(D)" : Indicates the connection status of the input unit to each communication port. -"DIAG SI(A)", "DIAG SI(B)","DIAG SI(C)","DIAG SI(D)" : Indicates the connection status of the output unit to each communication port. There will be no problem in using the old EDS file when these functions are not used.
